The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect from 25th May 2018. The regulation strengthened and unified data protection for all individuals within the European Union and is enforced by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Northants Canine Massage Therapy Clinic protects its clients Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and will be fully compliant with the GDPR legislation.

How does GDPR affect Northants Canine Massage Therapy Clinic?

The legislation does not affect the service I provide. I ensure I am compliant with GDPR by not sharing any confidential information unless otherwise instructed and only then with your written consent.

Handling you and your dog’s data

The new regulations will not affect your ability to draw down the consent form from my website. The consent form is not stored electronically in any form. You are not able to type your personal data into my website.

The personal information you provide is held in a manual format only but not within the treatment area.

No payments are taken through this website and no details are taken or held regarding payments. For the avoidance of doubt, payment transfers are between bank accounts. You the client do not pass your bank details to me.

I will not use your information or share your information for any purpose including marketing of Northants Canine Massage Therapy Clinic.

When you, the client, contact me you are doing so in order for me to contact you for the opportunity to use the service I provide. Therefore as a business I can process your data supplied as it is in your, and my, legitimate interest to do so.

I will continue to give my registered clients control over their contact preference options, including the option and consent to remove any Personal and Identifiable Information held manually in paper form.

All personally identifiable information (PII) is completely removed from my manually administered records within 30 days at your request.
